On August 5, 2019, in the restaurant “At the End of the World” in Kovilj, a round table “Info Day K2” was held for the citizens of Kovilj, organized by the Founding Committee for the formation of the Partnership for Rural Development/LAG (Local Action Group) Sremski Karlovci – Kovilj.

The basic principles of the LEADER approach and the way we will use this state instrument to realize rural development in our environment were presented at the meeting, all in accordance with the Public Invitation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management to apply for incentives to support programs related to preparation of a local rural development strategy in 2019.

The Founding Board prepared a Citizen Questionnaire that the participants filled out. It was agreed that the representatives of Kovilj provide the consent of the mayor of Novi Sad for the territory of MZ Kovilj to participate in the Partnership and to organize the Founding Assembly of the Partnership on the Kurjačka greda stretch on the left bank of the Danube, where the territories of Sremski Karlovci and Kovilj merge.
