On October 20, 2025, representatives of partner organizations from across Europe gathered in Thessaloniki, Greece, for the Kick-Off Meeting of the Erasmus+ project “SPIN – Sporting a Path to an Inclusive and Greener World” (Project Reference: 2024-2-EL02-KA220-YOU-000286170).
The meeting, hosted by the coordinating organization, officially marked the beginning of a two-year collaboration aimed at using sport as a tool for inclusion, environmental awareness, and youth
empowerment.
The day opened with a warm welcome from the coordinator and introductions of all partners, followed by an overview of the project’s aims, expected results, and alignment with Erasmus+ Youth priorities.
Participants then worked through the main Work Packages (WPs):
- WP2 – Implementation Framework: presentation of structure, objectives, and partner
responsibilities. - WP3 – Digital Development & Hackathon: discussion on national adaptation, youth
involvement, and digital tools. - WP4 – Local Activities: planning of environmental workshops, outdoor challenges, and the
Ambassador Programme. - WP5 – Dissemination & Visibility: coordination of social media, national promotion, and
multiplier events.
The meeting concluded with an overview of the financial management, timeline, and next steps to ensure a smooth start of activities.
The Thessaloniki meeting set a strong foundation for collaboration and innovation among partners, reaffirming their shared commitment to promoting a more inclusive, greener, and active Europe through sport.
